Prime Week Bonus Puzzle! It’s been a little while, but I’m about to make up for it, because this is the first of four primes from 191 to 199. This puzzle is called Uneasy Alliance, and I’m happy with how it turned out, but the difficulty might be a little higher than I’d like, so I also made an alt version (as always, the image shows the version with fewer clues).

  • Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply in both grids (fill each row, column, and box with the digits 1-6 once each).

  • The same digit cannot appear in the same relative position (e.g. the digit in r1c1 in the left grid must be different from the digit in r1c1 in the right grid).

  • Skyscraper clues: each cell in the center column contains a single digit which acts as a skyscraper clue for both grids. Each clue indicates the number of digits visible in that direction, where higher digits block the view of lower digits (e.g. a 2 in the center column means there are two digits visible in that row in the left grid (looking from right to left), and two digits visible in that row in the right grid (looking from left to right)).

  • Arrows: the sum of the digits along an arrow is equal to the digit in the connected circle, and these digits can repeat if allowed by other rules.

  • Renban lines: purple lines contain a non-repeating set of consecutive digits in any order.

  • Very rough difficulty estimates: 7/10, 5/10
