As, promised, and as a (rather strange, arguably) way to say thanks to everyone who has been around for all or part of the first 100 volumes, here is a set of five puzzles that may be a little tougher than the ones you’ll normally find here, and a sixth one that you’ll have to solve the first five to find (I think it’ll be self-evident how that works, but feel free to contact me with any questions).
Wonderful puzzles! Had a lot of fun with them- definitely not the kind of puzzles I should've taken my first stab at at around 1 am haha. Hardest puzzle by quite a bit was Outreach for me- it took me a very long time to wrap my head around the logic. Temecula was also rough, and I had to wipe the board a couple times to reset (though that's a bit because I have less experience with 1/5/9 puzzles in general haha). The final puzzle (whose name I won't say!) also took me a long time, but I enjoyed it a lot more. That style of puzzle is my favorite!
Total time of 3:33:24 across all 6 puzzles!
16:58 - 38:47 - 16:21 - 1:06:45 - 23:33 - 51:00
(I'm still trying to catch up on puzzles, haha. Finished everything up to this bonus pack so far. I'm close!)
These were excellent! Great level of difficulty for me, really stretching my brain but doable. I did turn to Discord for a hint on Settlement.
I'm solver #24 for the bonus puzzle. The minimalism for that one is really cool. I ended up using a fair amount of bifurcation to solve it, so I probably missed some more elegant solving paths.
Clearly several people have completed the set, so I think we are at the "collaboration" phase. I've never been able to get discord to work for me so it will have to be here.
I've solved Temecula, and am happy to expand on the hint slightly for anyone who is struggling with it. Similarly, I'm interested in pushing the hints a bit further on others. On Rio Tinto I can see that the middle stripes of the even boxes are the outer lines of box 5, which feels like it should give me something, but doesn't yet.

Bravo. As much as I love AS, this was definitely a bit more fun because of the challenge of it all. Thanks, James.
Great bonus pack. Solved them all, and only needed one hint. Thanks for the extra content.

Curious what people have come up with for what they’d ask for if they won. I think my favorite types of puzzles are, in order:
Coloring-heavy
Negative restraints
Fog
German whispers
Is there any negative constraint on the last puzzle i.e. Breakdown? Got through first 4 puzzles but stuck on this one :(
Got through that finally after struggling for 1:03:27!!
Nice, well done!
These are way at the far end of my ability.

For Rio Tinto, consider where the extreme digits can go in box five, and specifically what would happen if one of them is on a renban
